On Thursday, Patti Wright organized and led Rotarians and students to write 700 letters from Santa Claus. Children in Bay Bay Elementary School in Mindanao, Philippines had written letters to Santa at the North Pole wishing him and Mrs. Claus a Happy Christmas and asking for a small gift on Christmas Day. Many of the letters asked for shoes, balls, a new dress or something to eat. Writing the letters, on behalf of Santa, with personal words of encouragement and best wishes were 50 students from Etobicoke Collegiate Institute and Richview Collegiate Institute, teachers and Rotarians from Toronto West and Greg, Duncan, Lynda, Gillian and Andre from Etobicoke. The letters will be hand delivered by Rotarian Phillip Barker.
