On November 25th Rotary Etobicoke funded and led their annual Kids Against Hunger Food Packing Project. Rotary Etobicoke members along with their families and partnered with Rotary Club of Toronto West invited youth volunteers from Etobicoke Collegiate Institute, Richview Collegiate Institute, Air Cadets from Squadron 700, Rotaract Club of York University, Rotaract E-Club and many community families and friends to join together to pack food for local food banks and outreach programs. Over 120 volunteers filled 70 boxes each containing 36 packets of nutrious rice. Distribution of the boxes of rice to eleven agencies was completed within the week to allow our rice to reach Christmas programs and hampers.
