Rotary Food Initiative - Launched at Toronto Ribfest
Posted by Hugh Williams

Working with the volunteers from:
the team at the gate helped raise awareness of the issue of food security in Toronto. It was a siren song throughout the event, as numerous announcements were made from both stages by Hugh and others, the Rotary TV reminded people about Rotary and our festival theme, and Freddy Will performed his song live on stage.
But it really all came together only through the tireless work and awesome presence of Gill and Andre who took the park's most difficult assignment and pulled it off beautifully.
And not only were we talking about "Eradicating Child Hunger - Nutritiously" we also had a Farmer's Market at the entrance from Mongomery's Inn.
Rotary Food Initiative is a key program now moving forward and with their continued help and leadership, it will help raise the profile of Rotary in the community - and most importantly - help feed kids.
Thank you to all the volunteers at the gate, and to Gill and Andre in particular!
